
Loudoun Weekend: December Greetings
Ashburn
Dec. 3, marks the 10th annual Holiday Tree Lighting. Hosted in One Loudoun at 20626 Easthampton Plaza, Ashburn. Families are invited to join together for ice carvings, photos with Santa, train rides around the area, and performances provided by the people of Loudoun County. The event will take place between 5 pm to 7 pm, and aims to bring a stronger sense of community in One Loudoun. Attendance is free for everyone. For the event website, click here.
Leesburg
The Loudoun Chorale is performing at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for their first sequel concert: There’s Still My Joy! Located at 605 W Market St, Leesburg, this event will begin at 7 pm. Families are welcome to come in and enjoy 9 pieces of music and 9 stories centered around the holiday season. The Loudoun Chorale aims to present a variety of performances for the community of Loudoun County. A ticket is $12, with free admission for those 12 years and under. Loudoun Valley
Sela Campbell and Juliana MacDowell are coming to The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards to sing and share songs and stories. Sterling
In Sterling, Virginia a unique opportunity has appeared this holiday season: the annual “Cops and Kids” holiday shopping spree. Located at 45131 Columbia Pl, Sterling, the event is hosted by the The Loudoun-Dulles Fraternal Order of Police Lodge (FOP) #69. This event encourages law enforcement civilians and officers to take children around on a shopping spree at the Target store.The event aims to make a difference by lending a helping hand to children who are less fortunate, with over 100 children participating each year. The Village at Leesburg is inviting families to see a holiday musical show called The Snow Monster. Located at 1602 Village Market Blvd, Leesburg, the show is hosted by Dulles Mom. A musical about a boy who leaves foster care and finally finds a home. He might have found a home, but those feelings of anger and loneliness still linger. The Dodona Manor is hosting its signature event, the Marshall Plan Tree Walk. It’s located on 312 E Market St, Leesburg, VA. With no fee needed to be paid, you are able to visit and join for hot chocolate and S’mores. Walk around the area to see the 17 decorated trees made to represent different European nations that benefited from the European Recovery Program.
