The star of Belmont is the Belmont Country Club, an inclusive, friendly community of people. Located at the heart of the community is the Manor Home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and built in the 1790s by Ludwell Lee, son of Richard Henry Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Belmont Country Club overlooks what was a 1,000-acre plantation. Belmont is also home to an award-winning 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course that is rated the third most challenging golf course in Virginia by the USGA.
