We recommend that you begin with our One Day Itinterary and then proceed to Ball's Bluff Battlefield.
At Ball’s Bluff Battlefield, visitors can visit the site of one of the largest Civil War battles in Loudoun. Both guided tours and self-guided tours are offered. Visitors can visit a national cemetery at Ball's Bluff and walk the trail overlooking the Potomac River.
Deemed a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service, Oatlands Historic House & Gardens strives to create educational experiences for its visitors by offering many tours for its visitors. Oatlands’ grounds are open daily with tickets, but guided tours of the property are also available. A tour of the mansion includes the history of the house and the lives of its inhabitants, while the Enslavement at Oatlands tour discusses the history and lives of the many slaves who once lived there. Other tours Oatlands offer are the Garden, Architecture, and Art tours. Visitors can also stay the night at the Inn at Oatlands Hamlet or the Stone Cottage.
